50s Phone!
Welcome to the Night Shift.
You are the overnight switchboard operator. The year is 1952. The office is quiet. The calls are not.
Your job is simple: answer the line, find out who they need and patch them through. Do it fast enough and everyone goes home happy. Fumble too long — and the line goes dead.
Sit in your chair. Pick up the cables. Listen carefully.
How to Play:
- When a jack light starts blinking, an incoming call is waiting
- Plug the back cable into that jack to answer
- The caller will tell you who they need — check the directory on your desk
- Plug the front cable into the correct jack
- The call connects automatically
- When the light turns red, the call has ended — unplug both cables and move on
(There's a slight problem with the unplugging part; it comes out if you pull it quite far down.)
The night gets busier as the hours pass.
Controls:
- Left Click (and Drag) — Pick up / release cables, interact
- Left Click on Book — Open subscriber directory
